Introducing
The Perkins Produce Co.
A Rural American Classic
The Perkins Produce Co. was designed by Earl Smallshaw and featured in a 1974 Model
Railroader. This truly American classic structure could be found anywhere in the country.
with the building's large loading dock it could be just about any kind of local business
such as a box factory, feed supplier or even a
station! Let your imagination take
over. Isn't that what Model Railroading is all about?
This close-up shows the charming character of this kit. Its' familiar architecture will easily
connect with everyone. The steeply pitched roof has a beautiful ornate gable and period
diamond slate shingles. The ground floor basement features detailed random cut-stone
walls. Finely detailed double hung windows are surrounded by weathered clapboard siding
that reflect the many graceful years this structure has withstood!
These next two views illustrate some of the detail for this kit. Crates, barrels, sacks and
tools, we've included them all! You will also receive a wonderful laser cut hand cart and
crates from the Train Troll.
This kit was designed with the help and
extensive experience of Bill Banta at Banta
Modelworks.
The kits' sturdy two layer construction with
laser cut plywood shell with basswood exterior
means your model will stand for years
The cleverly designed
removable roof  allows
easy access for detailing and lighting.
